How to delete the Blogger Navbar
I’ve received some requests about how to delete the navbar from Blogger and not just to hide it. So I’m going to show you how to do both (just hide it or permanently delete it).
What it the difference between hiding the Blogger Navbar and deleting it?
There is a difference between hiding and deleting the Blogger Navbar. By hiding it, you will be able to reactivate it anytime you want and it will leave a small space on the upper side of your template.
By deleting the navbar, you won’t be able to reactivate it and the small space on the upper side of your page will disappear. Basically, that small space is the main reason why a lot of bloggers choose to delete the navbar.
How to hide the Blogger Navbar:
If you want to hide it, login into your dashboard, go to Layout -> Navbar -> and select the “Off” option. Click ‘Save” and check out your blog.
You will see that the space where the navbar use to be is still there (on the upper side of your page). In order to get rid of that gap, you will have to delete the navbar from the code.
How to delete the Blogger Navbar:
In order to delete the Blogger Navbar from your site, you’ll have to work in the code, so you might want to back-up your template first in order not to break anything by mistake.
Ok, now let’s get to work. Go to your Dashboard -> Template -> Edit HTML
Click anywhere on the box with the code and hit CTRL + F in order to activate the search bar. Type in “Navbar” and hit Enter. When you find it, delete the small block of code (as in the image below) from <b: section…> to </b: section>
Save your template and then check out your blog.
You will see that the small space reserved for the Navbar is now gone.
